Baywalk, Manila :)

Ronald. 7 years old. Lived in Pasay City with his mother and siblings.

This was shoot at Baywalk, Manila. I went there with my classmate Julius Bergado to find scenes that we can use on our project. I love traveling in the first place and I love having photo walk.

At first, we saw kids swimming at the Bay. They were full of happiness and enjoyment. After their swimming,  we have tried to talk and ask them few things as if they were our close friends and vice-versa. And there, I saw a little kid that looks like a 5 year-old of his short, small and thin size. I tried to ask him, "Nasaan bahay niyo? Dito ba kayo nakatira?" and then he replied: "Sa Pasay ako nakatira. Naligo lang kami dito..." without hesitation. I saw a metal thing on his leg that made me so curious. According to his friend, it caused due to an accident. A jeepney hits him while selling Sampaguita. It touched my heart and changed my facial expression in that moment of time.
Before my tears fall down, I used to bring-out my camera and took some pictures of him and friends. They were amaze seeing the camera. They enjoyed different shots. They did their  nice pose and natural smile. Until Ronald himself, look upon my lens and I accidentally hit my camera button. I thought that he was not yet ready because of the slippers on his face. But he said that he was shy of his friends and let the slippers covered his face.
When I was reviewing my shots, I found this one very nice and very meaningful. Looking beyond this picture is a thousands of meaning.

Later on, my decision was totally final. This would be my photo on our Midterm exam on our Photojournalism Class. I was glad to introduce this to the whole class. My subject, Ronald and his Slipper.
